CLOSED PORE Finish is low maintenance and best suited for wet areas with sinks.
OPEN PORE FINISH is low maintenance and best suited for non-wet areas.

The CLOSED PORE Finish is derived from a time-tested, wooden boat-building process.
It starts with a fully saturated, epoxy base coat to seal and fortify the wood fibers followed by rich glazes, and finally, multiple coats of high-tech, catalyzed polyurethane.The result of this ten-step process is unique to the industry; a highly durable finish full of depth and nuance – yet water-proof! Furthermore, it’s easy to care for – no wax, no polish – just wipe with a soft, clean cloth and mild detergent.

The OPEN PORE Finish features the same top-coat as Closed Pore and is just as resistant to common household liquids & (see chart below), however, the Open Pore Finish is
water-resistant but not water-proof. Clean this finish just as you would the Closed Pore.
According to UNI EN , results are evaluated as follows:
1. Pronounced marking, film structure is compromised or the film is
completely or partially removed, or filter paper adheres to the surface.
2. Pronounced marking, but film structure is unaltered.
3. Slight marking visible from various angles; for example as a ring.
4. Slight change in gloss evident only when placed in specific
lighting, or only on very close examination with correct lighting.
5. No visible damage or sign.
